At first glance, being an eSports athlete may seem easy and enjoyable—just playing your favorite video games for a good income. However, the reality of a professional player involves hours of rigorous training and adherence to a strict tournament schedule. Spending long hours in front of a computer isn’t healthy, and without proper effort to maintain their well-being, players risk facing issues like emotional burnout. As the esports industry evolves, many professional teams have begun prioritizing diverse training regimens, along with maintaining a structured daily routine and diet.

The schedule for the Chinese PSG.LGD Dota 2 team in preparation for The International:

12:00 – 13:00 Wake up, water procedures, breakfast.
13:00 – 14:00 Each player individually warms up with single games.
14:00 – 17:00 Team matches – 2-3 games.
17:00 – 19:00 Team basketball practice.
19:00 – 21:00 Team Matches – 2 games.
21:00 – 24:00 Watching and analyzing videos.
24:00 – 03:00 Single Game.

No social media, six days of practice each week, and team-building activities on the weekends.

As you can see, training for professional Dota 2 players is extremely demanding and involves countless hours of dedication. However, this intense regimen is a crucial factor in their ability to achieve outstanding results and consistently win matches.
